Ah, a high life and a blog.
Could it get any better than this? Well, yeah I suppose if the blog were a woman. But then all of you would have nothing to read, that is if you all exist? Is anybody out there?
I don’t know if I am doing the right thing here with this blog? I read all of these other blogs out there and they seem to be filled with the most mundane details of one’s day.
“Today I woke up and did nothing. I then went to the grocery and picked up my laundry on the way home. I ran in to Jack on the way. He seems to be donig well. I hope him and his dog are getting along better now.”
What the hell? Is this what yall are really interested in reading? If so, I can provide that, but I doubt I will stay anywhere near that boring topic. I mean, I already know how boring my life is – I already lived it today. Why would I want to now spend more time sitting here in front of my computer rehashing how depressing and lonely my life is. Well, let me give it a shot. The rest of these folks can’t be wrong can they?
I woke up late this morning – my first good night of rest for the past few days. I did a little work. Planned on riding my bike downtown and swinging by the library (wouldn’t if be cool if the library really were the place to swing?). Is that how you punctuate a question in parens? Should that last question be in parens as well? This one? Opps – I am already getting off. Well, I didn’t do much all day, hung out by myself, played a little Yahoo Backgammon and ended up watching ‘XXX’ with Vin Diesel (not nearly as bad as I expected, thought the script could have used some help – although, what words are you going to put in Diesel’s mouth?). Shit – there it is again. Hang on I am going to go find out ….
Yeah, guess I did it right, except for that initial capitilization, which I think just looks clumsy. Actually, come to think of it, I think the whole notion of parenthesis is kind of clumsy in the first place.
Anyway, back to my day. Anybody excited? A friend of mine, Erin Moore, called me and we went downtown to hear the end of the Gallivan Center concert. We decided that the music wasn’t knockin’ our groove, so we went and walked around the great city of Salt Lake for a couple of hours. We got some slurpees and enjoyed the warm night. It actully turned out quite nice. We talked about the usual, you know what’s wrong with the world, how to start the revolution and what not. It was refreshing. I like talking to Erin, as she, while still somehow respecting (I think – ok I think this use is ok) my crazy over idealistic views, has a more down to earth realistic approach to things. I need someone to keep me on, or near, the ground every now and then.
Ok, enough of this. If anyone enjoyed any of the above drop me an email and I will – uh? – probably just tell you to get a life. Because, if you find mine that interesting… So, from now on, only interesting stuff, though I can’t promice anything of the sort, I will do my damnest.
