I wonder how far that was.
I stumbled on a nifty tool today after Erin and I finished our run. Google Maps plus a distance tool. Paul Degnan crafted this nifty tool called Gmaps Pedometer to map out your runs, walks, bike rides, you name it. It’s great, you add your waypoints and it keeps a distance total over to the side. It even adds mile markers for you. You don’t know how long it used to take me to do a similar thing with Keyhole/Google Earth. And to top it all off, you can create a tinyURL so that you can refer back to it at a later date. Absolutely superb.
As a sidenote, he doesn’t ask for anything for using it, but does mention that he is trying to raise money for the American Cancer Society by running in the Chicago Marathon. Do drop a few bucks in his coffer. I’m going to.
And good luck Paul!!!
